Frequently asked

Everything you need to know

Prescription, reimbursement, timingโ€ฆ answers to the questions we hear most.

How do I arrange a home nurse?
Call us on 0485/236.037 or fill in the contact form. We assess your needs, arrange a first home visit, then start care according to your doctor's prescription.
Is home nursing care reimbursed?
Yes. In Belgium, prescribed nursing care is INAMI-conventioned and reimbursed by every health insurance fund. We apply the third-party payment system: in most cases you have nothing to pay upfront.
Which areas do you cover in Brussels?
We work in the south of Brussels: Uccle (1180), Forest (1190), Saint-Gilles (1060) and Ixelles (1050).
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Yes, we are available 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays. For palliative care, we provide 24/7 presence.
Do I need a medical prescription?
Most reimbursed care requires a prescription from your doctor. Some hygiene care is assessed via the Katz scale. We guide you through the steps.
What is the third-party payment system?
It is the system by which we bill your health insurance fund directly. You do not pay upfront for reimbursed care.
What types of care do you provide?
Personal hygiene, injections, wound care, post-operative care, medication preparation, monitoring of vital signs and palliative care.
How much does a home nurse visit cost?
Prescribed care is INAMI-conventioned. We apply third-party payment: your fund is billed directly, and only a possible personal contribution may remain. Contact us for your specific situation.
Can I choose my nurse?
We assign a dedicated nurse to each patient to ensure continuity of care and build a relationship of trust.
How long does a visit last?
It depends on the care required, from around fifteen minutes for a simple procedure to longer for full care.
What should I do in an emergency?
Contact us by phone or SMS. In a life-threatening emergency, always call 112.
Do you care for diabetic patients?
Yes: blood-glucose checks, insulin injections, foot care, therapeutic education and coordination with your diabetologist.
Do you provide care for older people?
Yes, we support older people at home to preserve their independence and comfort for as long as possible.
How does the first visit work?
A nurse assesses your needs with you, draws up a care plan with your GP and agrees on visit times.
Do you work with hospitals?
Yes, we ensure continuity of care after hospitalisation and coordinate with hospital teams.
Do I need to provide medical supplies?
When you call us, we bring the basic supplies: enough for the first procedure or first dressing if you have nothing at home. The nurse then tells you exactly what to buy at the pharmacy.
Can you come several times a day?
Yes, according to the prescription: for example several visits for insulin or for palliative care.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes, contact us to arrange care, usually possible within 24 hours.
How are your nurses trained?
All are state-registered and follow ongoing training, notably in wound care, diabetology and palliative care.
What happens if my nurse is away?
A colleague from the team ensures continuity of care, with a full handover of your file.
Do you provide care in the evening?
Yes, our hours extend into the evening and adapt to your constraints.
How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Let us know by phone or SMS on 0485/236.037 as soon as possible and we will rearrange together.
